Low rise terraces in Balestier

There are some road names that have been  Singapore history with the city’s rapid urban development and rejuvenation. If you are still looking for a lane named Jalan Bunga Raya in Balestier and off Irrawaddy Road, you may want to know that this road has been long gone over taken by a high rise residential development currently in construction. Newly launched d’Mira at Boon Teck Rd

It has been quite some time for the soft launch of d’Mira been progressing. I am still wondering when is the official launch for this MCL project. Today I saw the half page newspaper advert announcing the project official launch.

Water Kiosk at Boon Teck Road, off Balestier

Balestier is just so intriguing and interesting in its history and background that it worths your time to explore each of the corners in the street. At the corner of Boon Teck Road off Balestier, you may have notice that there has been standing this small cart with 2 traditional dispensers. It carries a signage stating: Charitable service provided by Thong Teck Sian Tong Lian Sia which is just located nearby.

Balestier Students’ Hostel and Singkong Hall

If you patronise the Balestier Food market frequently, you might notice that there is a hostel just located right in front at the T-junction of Boont Teck Road & Balestier Road, Balestier Students’ Hostel.
