There are some road names that have been Singapore history with the city’s rapid urban development and rejuvenation. If you are still looking for a lane named Jalan Bunga Raya in Balestier and off Irrawaddy Road, you may want to know that this road has been long gone over taken by a high rise residential development currently in construction. Domus, as the name of the new development, is a 29 storey residential development of 109 units which will be completed in the year of 2013.

Strayed trolleys are not only found under the void decks of HDB. I witnessed this amusing sight of few trolleys being parked just out one high end condominium development in Newton area. The residents must have it much easier to deliver their groceries from the nearby shopping mall. Guess what? The trolleys are from the Cold Storage. So are you able to guess where is this development?

I have been always asked to give advice, either to certain specific development, or property market direction. And I have been always careful in giving out factual information, rather than giving advice and opinions in reply. Firstly, I do not think that I am an expert per say in real estate market. I do not analyse charts or dissect property information to project the market growth. Therefore I do not think that all my comments should be taken as advice. Secondly I am afterall a human who tend to have my …

I am not sure how many of us ever pay any attention to the URA Concept Plan which is being reviewed every 10 years. The Concept Plan is a strategic land use plan that will guide Singaproe’s development over the next 40 to 50 years in all land use such as housing, businesses, transport, infrastructure, recreation, and community needs. In real estate business, it is important to identify the gist of the Concept Plan which will mould and shape the Master Plan of Singapore in many ways.

The housing market is going stronger despite all negative news from Europe and poor performance in local stock market. The optimism in land bidding in suburban areas is extremely high. We are seeing an impressive 18 bids in the recent Simei Street 3 Government Land Sales, in which Chip Eng Seng won the land with an offer of $523 per sq ft (psf) per plot ratio. See the interesting article from the Straits Times discussing the possibility of most suburban condominiums priced near or at $1000 psf mark.

Soleil, a French word for ‘sun’, is designed as a shining light to illuminate a new approach to lifestyle. I thought this is a pretty beautiful and cool name given for a development. This development comes with 2 iconic residential towers with exciting curvy cladding to the elegant built form.
Soleil @ Sinaran is located along Sinaran Drive in the Novena area. Frasers Centrepoint is the developer. They were awarded of the piece of land through the Government Land Sales (GLS) from URA for the top bidder in 2006. It is …
