United Square, a family friendly mall

6 June 2010 One Comment

There is a high rental demand for expatriates with family near to United Square area, such as development along Khiang Guan Ave, Surrey Rd & Lincoln area. Other than the state of art of residential developments mushrooming in the area, the magnet of the area is the amenities and convenience one is able to enjoy in the area. One of the main attractions is the United Square Shopping centre, which has become the destination mall for many families.

United Square Shopping Mall is one of my favourite shopping mall. This place is a paradise for my kids, where they have lots of carpeted floorings with colourful themes, and shops selling toys and kids clothings. Not to forget to mentioned the the animal-shaped rubbish bins. They are simply so cute that my kids keep asking for rubbish from me so they could use it.

You would not fail to notice that there are many learning schools too, which provide all types of training from gymnasium to tuitions. The ‘greatest hits’ among parents goes to The Learning Loft on level 3 which groups together various education and enrichment centres such as The Learning Lab, Lorna Whiston, Mandeville Music & Drama and The Bit-by-Bit School.

Once a month, they will organize the Molly the Bus which will park right in front of the Jalan Kayu Roti Prata Shop. Today we happened to be there and borrowed few books from it too.

I think UOL Property as the retail manager has successfully revamped the shopping mall, together with its sibling mall Velocity just across the street. The vibrancy of these ‘suburban’ malls have somehow jazzed up the property in the area positively.

    Hi Keith,

I really liked this post because I am currently working on a campaign and contest called “We Welcome Families” for the Business for Families Council celebrating family friendly places just like United Square. I would like to tell you more about the campaign as thought it would be of interest to you and your readers. Perhaps you could mail me at talya.stone100@googlemail.com.

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Cheers,

    Talya
